How do you get more views by making lousy, low quality, under the table videos?
This video might be a bit controversial, but…
I was telling my friend the other day about this special office I’m thinking about building.
It’ll come complete with a basketball court, golf course, indoor go kart arena, gym, lockers and changing room, trophy room, computer room, and what have you.
Once it’s all set up, I’ll send a private invitation to a few close friends to come over. And work with me.
We can have fun everyday.
Work on meaningful stuff.
And create YouTube videos that rock.
A crazy dream?…
Of course.
Inspired by one of my favorite YouTube channels, Dude Perfect.
And, if you’ve ever glanced a look at their “office” while watching their videos…
… you’ve probably been dreaming up similar things too.
Anyway, let’s talk about one of the SECRETS I discovered while studying their YouTube channel (one of the top 25 most viewed channels of all time).
The Dude Perfect philosophy in a nutshell is…
… go big…
… do big…
… make everything big. Huge. Humungous.
Because in a world of 7 billion people, you’re lost if you don’t stand out.
And the best way to stand out?
That’s right. You go big.
Now…
… if you look at their channel, you’ll find that a ton of their top most viewed videos are Trophy Battle videos.
Where the 5 of them battle it out amongst themselves.
In friendly competition.
With wacky rules.
Trying to beat the rest.
And claim the trophy.
For example, there’s this Build A Boat Battle where each of them had to build a homemade boat using cheap material. And they timed to see whose boat could get across the lake the fastest.
The surprising part was that the cheapest boats…
… one made with recycled plastic bottles and…
… another one made with random metal mesh stuck together with tape…
… actually went THE FASTEST.
Very funny.
I love that stuff the most. Even more than their trick shot videos.
But even though those videos are getting tens of millions of views, here’s the problem with them:
There’s this book, Repositioning, by marketing legend Jack Trout.
In the book, he mentions that…
… one of the best ways to dominate a market is to discover a weakness within a strength.
Weakness within a strength?
That’s right.
For example:
Dude Perfect’s strength is that… they go big on everything.
Their video production quality is stellar.
Their props are massive.
Their setup is maximally luxurious. And probably heavily funded by sponsors.
You could say that the level of their game is the best in the world.
That’s their strength.
So how do you find weakness in that strength?
Simple:
When you keep having to do everything big, at the best and highest quality…
… it takes more time and effort.
No ways about it (almost).
Most new Dude Perfect videos take around 2 weeks to release.
Within that 2 week lag time, lies both weakness and opportunity.
What if, instead of making super high quality production Battle Challenge videos…
… you made low quality ones?
Focusing on the key stuff that makes the battles enjoyable. And forgetting about the rest.
What if you started with a killer idea angle, but with…
… fast, easy setup…
… cheap props…
… simple camera angles and quick editing…
… and minimal production costs?
The video will be lower quality, of course.
But because its easier to make, you’ll be able to release a new video everyday.
As long as the idea is interesting, you’ll still be able to rock it.
Thus, where speed is a weakness for Dude Perfect, it becomes a strength for you.
There’s actually a channel that does this already. And they’re getting millions of views and subscribers. By doing cheap, quick and easy Battle Challenge videos. And uploading them almost everyday.
(Sorry, I forgot their name.)
Another benefit of doing this:
If you’ve tied your channel to a “YouTube Views Increaser” system, like I mention in my free guide at TubeTactix.com…
… you’ll automatically get more views by publishing more videos.
Producing low quality videos faster and more frequently lets you to push the system to the max.
The more you publish, the more views (and backlinks) you get.
The more views (and backlinks) you get, the more income you make.
Also:
Pushing out fast, easy videos like this ranks you for more keywords in the search engines.
Which again means more views for you.
To sum it all up, the key is to look for weakness in strength, and strength in weakness.
